The team behind Forîn Cafe – S eth Kligerman, Kyle Horne, and Will Landicho – have opened Percy, a new 1970s-inspired restaurant with a bar, lounge, and listening room at Fishtown Urby. By day, it’s an easygoing spot for coffee, brunch, or a mid-day bite; by night, it transforms into a lively dinner destination, bar, and sound lounge with craft cocktails, vinyl playlists, and laid-back energy.

Percy is named after a soundtrack album by The Kinks, which is one of the team’s favorite English rock bands. The interior of the restaurant features a hallway that pays homage to the Percy team’s favorite musicians and artists.
The restaurant was designed with ample light and mid-century tones by Shawn Hausman Design, who has designed a number of Stephen Starr restaurants, including Parc, Dandelion, and Butcher & Singer. The design features a bold European design with modern touches and details like hand-blown glass, black-and-white checkered floor tiles, a plethora of natural light, and inspiration from various artists. Artist collaborators include Ian Chapin, who created Percy’s custom light fixtures and circular DJ booths on the sound lounge; flower bud vases made in Philly by Cloud9 Clay; and brand identity, including a friendly “under the El Pigeon” logo from Jonathan Cammisa.

Tucked within the restaurant, the Sound Lounge comes alive Thursday through Saturday evenings with vinyl DJ sets, curated listening sessions, and a special late-night menu paired with cocktails. Percy co-owner Seth Kligerman describes the concept: “We’re a ’70s-inspired diner serving brunch and dinner. Our dishes and design have a sense of nostalgia—similar to music and sound. I remember a great dish the way I remember a great song.” That connection between food, sound, and memory sits at the heart of the Sound Lounge. Outfitted with a circular DJ booth and four vintage Altec Lansing Voice of the Theatre speakers, the mid-century-inspired room shifts effortlessly from daytime coffee hangouts to late-night listening experiences.

Seamlessly connected to Fishtown Urby’s lobby, Percy serves as a neighborhood gathering spot that bridges between Urby and the Fishtown neighborhood, creating a community cornerstone for all.
