Chef Lev Brings NYC Flavors to Fishtown Urby

This summer at Fishtown Urby, NYC-based Chef Lev brought neighbors together over fresh flavors and a unique dining experience.

Known for his site-specific, live-fire cooking, Lev turned our outdoor space into what we called the “courtyard kitchen” — an open-air setup where food was prepped, cooked, and served right in front of the crowd. The focus wasn’t just on the food (though it was seriously good), but on creating a space where people could slow down, share a meal, and connect.

Throughout the night, residents gathered around communal tables, striking up conversations over plates inspired by global flavors. Some came with friends, others came solo and left having met someone new.
